Jess Gillam and her ensemble return to The Coro by popular demand!

International saxophonist Jess Gillam returns to her hometown of Ulverston with her bold and brilliant band. Expect night packed with virtuosic musicianship, sparks and fun. The group take inspiration from musical worlds far and wide – folk, jazz, classical and pop – and their performances are expansive, explosive explorations of this wide range of music. Jess’ carefully curated programmes take a new spin on CPE Bach, the drive and groove of music by John Harle, Anna Meredith and Barbara Thompson, folk infusions, the soaring beauty of music by Sakamoto, JS Bach, and even some Björk.
